Privacy Policy

Last updated June 17, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Foundry FM, operated by The Mess Foundry (“Foundry FM,” “we,” “us”), collects, uses, and shares information when you use foundryfm.com and our services (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.

Who this covers

The Service has two kinds of users: artists & DJs who create pages and sell to their fans, and fans/visitors who view pages, listen, tip, or subscribe. This Policy applies to both.

Information we collect

  • Account & profile info you give us — name, email, artist/handle, bio, location, links, and the photos, music, and other content you upload.
  • Booking & demo inquiries — details you submit through booking or “book a demo” forms.
  • Usage data — basic analytics such as profile views and track plays, used to power your dashboard and improve the Service.
  • Payment data — payments are processed by Stripe. We do not collect or store full card numbers. We receive limited information such as transaction amounts, status, and (for artists) connected-account status.
  • Community & fan-network activity — when you lock in with (follow) an artist, become a Superfan, post in The Foundry feed or the Founding-50 Speakeasy, or join a Roundtable, we store what's needed to power those features (e.g., your email, who you're locked in with, your posts, and voice-room session data).
  • Communications — emails you send us or receive from us.
  • Device/cookie data — we use essential cookies and browser storage to keep the Service working (e.g., to avoid double-counting a view). We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

How we use information

  • To create, host, and display artist pages and the Service.
  • To process payments, tips, memberships, and payouts via Stripe.
  • To show artists their own stats (views, plays, supporters, earnings).
  • To send you account, transactional, and support emails.
  • To prevent fraud, abuse, and to keep the Service secure.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the Service, including:

  • Stripe — payments and payouts.
  • Supabase — database and authentication.
  • Cloudflare R2 / storage — media hosting.
  • Cloudflare RealtimeKit — live voice (the Roundtable).
  • Resend — transactional email.
  • Netlify — website hosting.

These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms and privacy policies. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer. Content you publish on your public page (name, photo, music, links) is, by design, visible to anyone.

The shared fan network — what we don't share

Foundry FM connects fans to new artists, but we do it by sharing attention, not data. When you lock in with or support an artist, we never hand your contact information (email, etc.) to that artist or to any other artist. Artists see aggregate counts only — how many people are locked in, how many plays — not your personal details.

Discovery features like The Dial surface artists to you based on who you already follow and which artists vouch for each other — but the artists you discover do not receive your data in the process. No fan lists are ever sold or transferred between artists.

Payments

Tips, memberships, and sales are processed through Stripe (and, for artists, Stripe Connect). Stripe's handling of your data is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy. When a fan pays an artist, the money goes to the artist's connected account; Foundry FM does not take a percentage of those earnings.

Your choices & rights

  • Access & export — request a copy of your data.
  • Correction — edit your profile anytime in your studio.
  • Deletion — request that we delete your account and content. Some records may be retained where required by law (e.g., payment records).
  • Email — opt out of non-essential email at any time.

To exercise any of these, email hi@foundryfm.com.

Data retention & security

We keep information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, but no system is perfectly secure.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their data.

International users

We operate in the United States. If you use the Service from elsewhere, you understand your information will be processed in the U.S.

Changes

We may update this Policy. We'll post the new date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you.
